Advanced Technology Prevents Inventory Loss and Misuse

In the Tissum Rental System, we utilize RFID technology, which is used globally and across various sectors in Türkiye, enabling the identification and tracking of any object — living or non-living — from a distance without physical contact.
We integrate electronic RFID chips into our products, allowing us to monitor each item’s lifecycle in detail through our ERP system. Every chip is assigned to a specific customer where the product will be used.

  • When collecting soiled laundry, our staff uses a handheld terminal to scan the laundry bags. This process counts all items electronically, eliminating the need for manual counting. A document is immediately printed using a portable printer and shared with the customer to confirm the quantity collected.

  • Upon arrival at the facility, each item is re-identified, quantity is confirmed during the sorting process, and then the washing process begins.

Washing Process
We use environmentally friendly chemicals during the washing process. We work with Ecolab chemicals. Each product’s washing recipe is programmed in our system and delivered to the washing machines through automated detergent dosing units. Every load is washed using a consistent, pre-set process, ensuring the same high-quality results every time. The texture and color of the textiles remain intact, guaranteeing a flawless service to our clients.

At Tissum, we maximize the hygiene and safety of napkins and other textiles by using top-grade chemicals and chlorine-free washing techniques.

Our facility is equipped with the latest-generation machines, specifically designed for washing hotel and restaurant textiles. All machines are brand new and among the best in their field globally. From the moment the laundry process ends until the customer opens the package, the textiles are handled without any direct contact, ensuring the highest level of hygiene and quality throughout the entire process.

Ironing
After the washing process, the textiles are ironed using industrial, state-of-the-art machines. These machines also automatically fold the items after ironing, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

The folded items are then placed into special Tissum delivery crates. Once the crates are packed, the items are identified and verified through the RFID unit. After verification, the crates are sealed using a shrink-wrapping machine for secure packaging.

The products—already RFID-tagged and assigned to their destination—are then prepared for shipment to the designated facility.

Packaging
After the washing and ironing processes are completed for uniforms, each item is packaged either on hangers or in crates, depending on the request.

Each packaged garment includes:

  • An RFID tag,

  • A label with the employee’s name,

  • A packaging sticker.

Every item is shipped individually prepared and labeled, hanging on a designated hanger for each person.
(In operations without RFID, garments often get mixed up—staff may wear each other’s uniforms, leading to losses and confusion. Our system eliminates these issues entirely.)

Storage
Our special Tissum crates offer efficient storage solutions in our customers’ warehouses, preserving the pressed condition of products while minimizing space usage. Additionally, if requested, we can deliver items hung on hangers or on large garment racks (called “eqes”).

Delivery
Our operations run 365 days a year, and deliveries are scheduled entirely according to the preferred times of our clients. All our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking. Our planning department monitors the schedule minute by minute to ensure timely arrivals and maintains constant communication with our customers.

Inventory Management
A hospitality business typically operates by purchasing 2 to 2.5 times the amount of textiles relative to its number of tables. At Tissum, we invest in 4 sets of textiles to ensure readiness even on the busiest days.

We also manage our clients’ inventory. When starting a new project, we conduct a detailed engineering analysis together with the client to determine the optimal stock levels based on their needs. We monitor the client’s daily cover counts closely.

As textiles are used and returned to us as soiled laundry, our computerized planning system tracks the inventory levels required at the client’s facility. Based on this data, textiles are dispatched in the next shipment to meet the precise demand.

This system eliminates the need for the client to manually monitor their stock — we manage it efficiently on their behalf.
